Why this role matters
The Product Owner will translate our vision into a clear, testable product roadmap. You'll be a bridge between our founders, students, university and corporate partners to ensure a prioritised, clear and outcome-driven backlog is completed for development and adapted in line with agile practices as we progress with sprints and product delivery outcomes. What you'll do
Product Strategy and Vision
What you'll bring
Must-Have
  • Work closely with founders to define and refine the GradWIN product vision
  • Translate high level strategy into structured and prioritised MVP roadmap
  • Drive clarity around product goals, success criteria and user outcomes
Customer and Market Insights
  • Gather insights from students, universities and employers to validate needs
  • Convert research, interviews, and data into actionable product decisions
  • Ensure the student experience remains central to all feature development
Backlog Ownership
  • Create, refine and prioritise the product backlog aligned for strategic priorities
  • Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning with the engineering team
Execution & Delivery
  • Work hand-in-hand with engineering and design to deliver high-quality features
  • Review work against acceptance criteria and user outcomes
  • Ensure timely release cycles, iterative delivery, and continuous learning
  • Work in partnership with the BA and Engineering to ensure all development records are market leading
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Champion human-centred design, secure and trusted product principles
  • Influence stakeholders across design, tech, and business
  • Drive alignment, clarity, and shared understanding in collaboration with all team members
  • Product Strategy and Vision
  • Work closely with founders to define and refine the GradWIN product vision
  • Translate high level strategy into a structured and prioritised MVP roadmap
  • Drive clarity around product goals, success criteria and user outcomes
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in SaaS, platforms or apps
  • Strong capability in prioritising user stories, writing acceptance criteria and backlog management
  • Experience working with engineering teams in agile environments
  • Ability to translate ambiguous concepts into strtuctured product plans
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills
  • Ability to make trade-off decisions balancing scope, speed and quality
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in early-stage startup environments
  • Exposure to edtech, careers, HR tech, wellbeing or marketplace products
  • Familiarity with secure-by-design and ethical technology principals
  • Understanding of student journeys, education systems or employer pipelines
