How GradWIN works

Last Updated: 5th September 2026

Easier to prove. Harder to fake. Faster to understand.

GradWIN is built for students, alumni, universities, employers and recruiters who need a clearer picture of what someone can actually do. This page explains the principles that shape every feature, and the limits we deliberately place on our own claims.

1.Recognise first. Develop what’s actually missing.

GradWIN starts by understanding what a person has already demonstrated — through study, paid work, projects, volunteering, and other experience — before recommending what to develop next.

Development should be targeted at a real gap, not a generic checklist. If someone already shows strong communication, problem-solving or ownership in a particular setting, GradWIN recognises it rather than asking them to start again.

2.GradWIN considers what you already bring

A degree says what someone studied. It does not fully describe what they can do. GradWIN treats education as one input among many: real experience, confirmed capabilities, a person’s own direction, and the specific expectations of the career they are exploring.

Recommendations are shaped by the person’s history and intentions, not by a fixed sequence every student must follow.

3.Unknown is not missing

If GradWIN has not yet seen evidence of a capability, that is a gap in information — not proof that the capability is absent.

We do not treat silence as a negative finding. A person may have rich, relevant experience that simply has not been brought into GradWIN yet.

4.Evidence matters

GradWIN distinguishes between two kinds of claim:

  • what a person says about themselves, and
  • what they can support with evidence assessed against clear, defined criteria.

Only evidence-backed claims receive the assurance that GradWIN’s processes are designed to support. The strength of that assurance depends on where the evidence came from and whether it has been independently confirmed — it is never raised simply because someone wants it raised.

5.Privacy and control

People control what they provide and what they share. Source evidence remains protected by GradWIN’s permission model and is only shared when the person explicitly grants time-limited access to a registered employer or recruiter.

Sharing is deliberate, scoped, and can be reviewed or revoked. You can read more about how evidence access works on the Evidence Shield page.

6.Guidance, not guarantees

GradWIN offers career exploration, recommendations and guidance. It does not guarantee employment, interviews, salary, suitability for a specific role, or any future outcome.

A strong GradWIN profile makes a person easier to understand and gives employers a clearer starting point for conversation. It does not replace an employer’s own judgement or hiring process.

7.What GradWIN does not claim

  • GradWIN does not verify who created a piece of evidence.
  • GradWIN does not detect plagiarism or detect whether AI was used to produce a submission.
  • GradWIN does not accredit anyone. A GradWIN credential is not a formal qualification.
  • GradWIN does not promise employment, salary, or interview outcomes.
  • GradWIN does not claim its privacy screening removes every piece of personal information.
  • GradWIN does not present career exploration as a psychometric assessment or diagnosis.

8.Proprietary processes

The underlying assessment logic, recommendation models, matching methods and career-intelligence processes that power GradWIN are proprietary and are not disclosed publicly. This page describes our commitments and limits, not the internal mechanics behind them.
